Fine Line

The Life Line 1884 Winslow Homer

There’s a fine line in life.
I see it every time I remember.
This was right that was wrong.
But the line disappears when I dream.
In the future there is only fields of possibility.
The line twists and turns into dust.
What a beautiful place that is.
Maybe someday I’ll get there.
